Dear Sulūk Press Community,
We hope that you have been finding serenity during the change of the seasons and enjoying the outdoors. We have news we are excited to share with you, and books to illuminate you through the coming months.
The new edition of Caravan of Souls, compiled and edited by Pir Zia Inayat Khan, will be released in early January. In this foundational text you will find essential teachings and practices of the Sufi tradition of the Inayatiyya. This edition includes new sayings, updated prayers, new chapters on Shaikh al-Mashaik Mahmood Khan, and the Nooriyya and Mahashaikhan lineages. Until December 31st you may pre-order this book for a 10% discount. You will be the first to receive Caravan of Souls when it arrives.
The recently published Biography of Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan from the Nekbakht Foundation will be the textbook for Pir Zia’s spring class Sundays April 16 to May 21, 2023. Order it now to read ahead of time! Written both in Inayat Khan’s own words and in the words of those around him, the biography recounts his early life in India, his reception in the West, and his impressions of what he experienced. This is a richly illustrated new edition of a 1979 classic that has long been out of print.
- A new book by Drs. Carl Ernst and Patrick D’Silva called Breathtaking Revelations will be released soon. This book is about the confluence of Sufi and yogic breath practices, by comparing the over six-hundred-year-old Fifty Kamarupa Verses, newly translated by Ernst, with Hazrat Inayat Khan’s manuscript version called the “Science of Breath,” edited and annotated by D’Silva.
- Pir Zia Inayat Khan’s new book Immortality: A Traveler’s Guide will be available later this winter. This book functions as a commentary—including contemplations and practices—to Hazrat Inayat Khan’s The Soul Whence and Whither.
- The next two Centennial Edition Sufi Message Volumes are well underway, with Spiritual Liberty, volume V to be released this spring.
- You may now include a personalized gift note when checking out at sulukpress.com!
