Classic & Contemporary Books on Sufism

August 1, 2022 News & Updates

We have wonderful news to share from Sulūk Press! As a wise person once told me, “You can’t be harvesting all the time, sometimes you just need to lay fallow.” As in life, so it is sometimes at organizations. After joining Sulūk Press as the Business Manager at the start of this year, I have had much to learn and attend to, but now there is much that is new to release into the world:

  • We have just launched a new website at sulukpress.com.

  • We have just published the Biography of Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan. This is the the highly anticipated reissue of of the 1979 edition that combines Inayat Khan’s own words with archival material and anecdotes from the archives of the Nekbakht Foundation in Suresnes, France. The biography recounts his life from his early years in India mastering classical Indian music and studying under Sufi teachers of the Chishti, Naqshbandi, Qadiri, and Suhrawardi orders, to his travels to America, England, Russia and France in the 1920s.

  • We have reissued Dream Flowers: The Collected Works of Noor Inayat Khan with a stunning new cover.

  • We have new releases in progress for the fall and spring that you will be hearing more about soon.

We welcome you to visit our new site, and we welcome any feedback you may have about anything!

With very best wishes,

Beatrice Upenieks
Business Manager
